Hi, I'm Mrs. Podany and I am a proud Durant High School  alumnus and have also worked for Durant Schools for 16 years.  My professional education includes a bachelor's degree from SOSU in 2002 and graduate work in School Counseling through SOSU in 2005 and Administration through ECU. I live in Durant with my husband and have three beautiful daughters who are also DHS students and alumni. I work with all grade levels, but mainly Seniors, making sure they meet graduation requirements as well as helping them with their personal/social needs and postsecondary plans. Our doors are always open!

"If you plan for a year, plant a seed. If for ten years, plant a tree. If for a hundred years, teach the people. When you sow a seed once, you will reap a single harvest. When you teach the people, you will reap a hundred harvests."

Hello, my name is Cory Lowry and I have been working in education for 8 years. I graduated from Durant High School in 1998, Southeastern Oklahoma State University in 2005 with a Bachelor's Degree in Education, and from East Central University in 2013 with a Master's Degree in Education. I am currently working towards completing all my certifications to become a school administrator. I hope to move into administration in the next few years. I live in Caddo with my wife of 13 years and 3 daughters. I enjoy spending time with my family especially outside playing sports. I also enjoy working on various home improvement projects that I have going on, and watching my favorite sports teams on TV. My goal here at Durant High School is to provide the 9th graders with the information and assistance they need in order to create a solid foundation that will help them become successful in their education. I am committed to helping not only the freshmen class, but any student who may need assistance.
