Durant, southern Oklahoma, and north Texas
Durant (population 13,549) is located in the southeast part of Oklahoma. It is only 15 miles from the Red River, which is the Oklahoma-Texas border. It is also 13 miles east of Lake Texoma, a popular state recreational area.
To get to Durant from nearby major cities, follow these directions:
- Dallas, Texas
- Drive north on US 75, North Central Expressway, and take the Durant Main St exit (90 miles).
- Oklahoma City
- Drive south on I-35 until you reach Ardmore. Take the US 70 East to Madill exit. Drive east on US 70 until you reach Durant (140 miles).
- Tulsa
- Drive south on US 75. Take the Indian Nation Turnpike south and exit onto US 69 south at McAlester. Drive south down US 69/75 and take the Durant Washington Ave exit (155 miles).
