Assistant Superintendents
Duane Merideth- Duane Merideth is one of the Assistant Superintendents of Durant Independent School District. Duane is not new to Durant Schools, having served as principal at three of Durant's seven campuses.

Larry Scott- Larry Scott also serves the Durant Independent School District as Assistant Superintendent. Larry's favorite thing about working in the District is "the positive attitude of the students and teachers."

Principals
Cheryl Conditt , Durant High School- Cheryl Conditt is the new principal of the award-winning Durant High School. She was the former DHS Counselor and CTE Director. Cheryl says she is "looking forward to working with students, teachers and parents to create a learning environment that allows students to achieve success".

Kenny Chaffin , Durant Middle School- Kenny Chaffin is the principal at Durant Middle School. After serving for the past several years as assistant principal, Kenny is more than comfortable in the Middle School setting.

Tod Harrison, Durant Intermediate School- Tod Harrison is the principal at Durant Intermediate School. For Tod, the part that stands out best about Durant Independent School District is "the genuine concern of teachers for kids is wonderful! When this is coupled with outstanding community support and involvement, it makes going to work a pleasure. Besides that, it's just fun to watch 11 and 12 year-olds grow up."

Carrie Gosnelll, Northwest Heights Elementary School- Carrie Gosnell is the new principal of Northwest Heights Elementary School. She has been the Intermediate School Assistant Principal for the last five years.Carrie is looking forward to working with the younger students and helping them receive a good foundation for future learning.

Jan Chaffin , Robert E. Lee Elementary School- Jan is the new principal of Robert E. Lee Elementary School. She has been the Counselor at REL for many years and is excited about this change to work with students and teachers in a different capacity.

Katy Pruitt, Washington Irving Elementary School- Another career-long employee of Durant Independent School District, Katy Pruitt is the principal of Washington Irving Elementary School. The thing Katy enjoys most about working for the District is "being an active participant in our students' learning programs and working alongside teachers and staff to encourage students' maximum growth."

Chief Technology Officer
Todd Hughes- As Chief Technology Officer for Durant Independent School District, Todd Hughes brings with him a wealth of educational and technical experience. Todd makes certain all administrative software is complaint with state mandates, oversees the district's Student Management system and Data Warehouse, manages the district's computer-controlled energy management system, custom SQL reporting projects and the technology staff.

Technology Director
Larry Bennett - As Technology Director for Durant Independent School District, Larry brings with him over 15 years of experience in the IT industry. Larry oversees the purchasing of new technology equipment, maintains and supports the districts wide area network infrastructure, IP telephony, email system and network security.
