Education for a Healthy Lifestyle

Physical Education K-3

Physical Education classes are incorporated into the school day as scheduled daily classes, meeting or surpassing the required 60 minute weekly requirement for all students in Kindergarten through fifth grade. Studens are monitored by daily participation. Students must have a note from parents or a doctor to be dismissed from activities and receive a passing grade.

Students wear hats they made to show patriotism on President's Day

One hundred percent of 2nd and 3rd graders will walk 10 miles by the end of each school year!

    Students are taught how to lead a healthy lifestyle and develop lifetime activities. Program activities support and encourage self-discipline, self-respect and sportsmanship.
    Special activities offered are as follows:

    Students and teachers show school spirit on Fridays wearing their NWH t-shirts

    Northwest Heights third grade set a record raising over $5000 for the American Heart Association.
