"I set high expectations for my students. It is my belief that all children can learn. It is a teacher's job to take a child from where they are, as far as they can go. If I make my students feel they can accomplish even the highest goals, there is no limit to what they can achieve!"

"I believe that all students can learn to the best of their ability when given an opportunity. When teachers take time to help a child achieve to their highest potential, then learning has taken place.

"Children should be encouraged to think and to engage in tasks that motivate as well as challenge. During the 'wonder years,' the learning situation is an activity-based approach which sees the learner as an active participant in the learning process. It allows children to move, touch, discuss, ask, and explore. Most importantly, teaching is giving one's heart courage, confidence, and inspiration to all the growing children entrusted in one's care."

"All children can achieve, if we (teachers, students, parents, and patrons) all believe! Every individual should strive to make a better tomorrow for our world, country, community, and themselves. I am teaching my children/students the importance of being great citizens through modeling what I want them to strive for. I believe my dedication to the teaching profession will produce active, responsible, trustworthy, and caring citizens who are ready to meet life's challenges in whatever paths they choose."

"My role as an educator is to develop and promote a learning environment that is conducive to each student. In order to accomplish this goal, it is important to use various teaching methods and styles. You must provide reinforcements that promote a good self-esteem. I feel it is important to conduct yourself in a manner so that students can use you as a role model in developing positive self-esteem, values, and respect for themselves and others. Education is a profession where teachers, students, parents, and patrons must all work together to promote the best learning environment possible for our children. We hold their future in our hands. Our future depends on their knowledge and achievements."

"As an educator I believe that students can and need to experience success in fulfilling their dreams; as a special educator, I believe there is potential to learn and grow, even in the most limited students, if they are given the right opportunities. To help student experience success takes a heart of caring and support from all school and community service providers. It takes shared responsibilities with shared hearts--hearts for collaboration, hearts for service, hearts for caring about students personally."
