Mission
The Durant High School Library strives to:
- Provide an inviting atmosphere for all students and faculty that is
conducive to learning, so that each patron will be equipped for problem solving and life-long learning as well as encouraged to fulfill his or her greatest potential.
- Provide a comprehensive current collection based on the abilities, interests, and needs of students, faculty, and staff.
- Support and enrich the educational curriculum of the school.
- Guide students in the use of all types of library materials.
The library is the first source for educational information and media at DHS.

Library hours
- Mondays through Fridays
- 7:50 am - 3:30 pm
Students must show a library pass to the library staff
when they arrive and then they must sign in. Students may use
the Media Center during their lunch or other free times
without apass, but must still sign in.
