An activity or organization for every student
Student involvement in extracurricular activities and organizations is not only healthy for their social development, but also is linked to academic success. At Durant High School, there is an activity or organization to fit the interests of each student. There are so many to choose from, we've broken them into the following categories:
- Academic
- Anything related to academic disciplines which will further reinforce what is being taught in the classroom.
- Athletic
- DHS has many competitive sports for girls and boys.
- Career Technology
- Many students are getting a jump start on their planned careers in our vocational organizations.
- Fine arts
- DHS is proud to have award-winning competitive band and choir programs.
- Media and information
- Many of our students are interested in working in the wide field of informational media.
- Special interest
- There are several miscellaneous activities and organizations, ranging from political to community service.
