Youth and Government is an organization that provides high school students with hands-on experience with state government. Students from around the state take over the capitol building in Oklahoma City for two days every April. Youth legislators sit in the desks of real State House Representatives and debate the bills that they author in the House Chambers. Youth judges, attorney teams, and witnesses represent Youth and Government's Judicial Branch and conduct trials in the Oklahoma State Supreme Court and in the Court of Criminal Appeals. Youth reporters and editors keep everyone up to date in the News Media branch.
