The Durant School District requests help in locating and identifying children with disabilities from ages birth to 21 who may be in need of special services.
A phone call to Duane Merideth, assistant superintendent, or Dale Welsh, special education director, at 924-1276 will receive immediate response in providing appropriate education services, free of charge, for qualifying students with disabilities who live in the Durant School District.
Parent Place is an easy to use information portal that will allow parents/guardians to take a more active role in their child's education. As a parent or guardian of a student currently enrolled in the Durant Independent School District, you can have access to your student(s) information and records via the Parent Place portal.
Access letters to Parent Place, with user names and passwords, are mailed out in response to a request form submitted by the parent or guardian during enrollment. If, for some reason, you did not receive a form at enrollment prior to the start of the 2007 school year, you can request a form from the main office of your child’s school.
The inaugural Durant Athletic Hall of Fame class numbered ten inductees and over 300 attended to celebrate their honor.Over teh next four year, Five inductees per year will be added.Induction ceremonies will be held on the first Saturday in February, annually.
Nominees for this prestigious honor are broken down into four categories: student-athlete, coach, team of distinction and community leader.

Deadline for submitting nominations is October 1, annually.
