Over the summer, the Durant school district made changes to policy and infrastructure to allow for students to bring their own computing device to school for class work. While district owned netbooks will still be available for checkout, students may choose to bring their own computer instead. Acceptable devices include any Windows 7, or 8 or MAC laptops that have OSX Lion or newer & 802.1x wifi capability, windows surface, Chromebooks, iPads & Android tablets with 802.1x wifi, Kindle fire or Nook Tablet models with Internet browser capabilities and 802.1x wifi. All android devices must be able to connect to the Internet and access THE GOOGLE PLAY STORE. Phones and iPod touch devices are not acceptable for student use in the BYOD. Students will be trained on how to connect their device to the BYOD network at the beginning of the school year. Questions may be directed to email@example.com
