For the love of reading

Objectives

Our desire is to instill the love of reading in our students and teach them that reading helps them become a lifelong learner and is the key to their career success. The objectives of the Durant Intermediate School Library are:

• Provide an inviting atmosphere for all students and faculty that is conducive to learning, so that each patron will be equipped for problem solving and life-long learning as well as encouraged to fulfill his or her greatest potential.
• Provide a comprehensive current collection based on the abilities, interests, and needs of students, faculty, and staff.
• Support and enrich the educational curriculum of the school.
• Guide students in the use of all types of library materials.
