Daily Hour Schedule
The typical day at Durant Intermediate School consists of several class periods and staggered lunches. The school day begins at 7:55 am and ends at 2:50 pm.
- 4th Grade Schedule
- 4th grade students are in a self-contained classroom, being pulled out for Spanish, Music, Computers, and Physical Education. Pull outs occur after lunch.
- 5th grade schedule
- 5th grade students have one teacher in the morning for either math/science or reading/language arts/social studies subject sets. They flip flop subject sets and teachers in the afternoon. Pull-outs or mini courses—such as art, physical education, music and spanish—happen during the morning session.
- 6th grade schedule
- 6th grade students have a six (6) period day and change classes each time. The students rotate between the same group of teachers, called "houses".
