Mission
DISD Strives to help ensure that children are mentally and physically ready to learn and have healthy and supportive families, and to promote a safe community by equipping individuals with skills, knowledge, standards and resources to live healthy lives.
Program Implementation
Our district serves students and families through various programs, focusing on:
- Alcohol, Drugs, and Violence Prevention and Early Intervention
- Student Assistance Program
- School and Community Mental Health Treatment/Intervention Services
- Early Childhood Psychosocial and Emotional Development Services
- Character Education
- Provision for School Resource Officers
- Truancy Prevention Services
- Bullying Education and Prevention
