State Guidelines

Durant follows state regulation guidelines and mandates as determined by the Oklahoma State Department of Education.

There are 2 types of assessments within the Oklahoma Student Testing Program (OSTP) for Grades 3-8. Secondary level students will be given the ACT and OSTP science assessment the second semester of their junior year and the OSTP U.S. History assessment the second semester the year they take U.S. History. All assessments are aligned to the state-mandated curriculum, the Oklahoma Academic Standards, which has been adopted by the State Board of Education.
