BEGINNING APRIL 22nd PARENTS WILL BE UNABLE TO ACCESS PARENT PORTAL INFORMATION UNTIL THEY HAVE COMPLETED THEIR STUDENT'S ENROLLMENT FOR 24-25 SCHOOL YEAR.

Online Enrollment

Durant Public Schools is proud to offer online enrollment. The enrollment/application process can be done on any computer, tablet or even your smart phone. If you do not have access to one of these, please make arrangements with a friend, family member or perhaps the public library to complete the process.  If new to this process, please take a few minutes to review the information below. 

 

Pre-Enrollment for 
Current Students

Information
for
Transfer Students

Students living outside of the Durant ISD School District boundaries must apply for Transfer Status. Visit the My School Locator Tool to determine your household location. 

It is recommended that you have the following items ready to upload (photos or scanned on the device you are using) before you start the online process:

  1. Birth Certificate – Required for all new enrollees (not required if you were enrolled in Durant Public Schools during the 2019-2020 school year.)
  2. Immunization Records – Required for all new enrollees and incoming 7th
  3. Proofs of Residency Documents – Accepted items include: Lease, Electric, Gas and Water bills ONLY. These need to be current within the last 3 months and CAN NOT have a cut-off notice on them. No other documents will be accepted.  If these documents are not in the name of the parent/guardian, please upload the documents, but understand that a 3rd Party Affidavit will be required to be signed by the individual whose name is on the bill(s).  This must be done in front of school officials BEFORE the application will be processed. 
  4. Legal Documents – This could be custody papers, foster care paper work, etc. These documents must be court ordered. Notarized statements are not accepted.  Signed foster care placement papers are required for a foster parent to enroll a child. 
  5. Parent/Legal Guardian’s Driver’s License or State Issued Photo ID
  6. Front & back of CDIB if applicable.
  7. Previous School Records/Information – This applies to new students enrolling within our District after attending a different school district. We will need the name, address and phone number of the student’s previous school.
  8. Names and Phone numbers of Emergency Contacts – It will be helpful to gather this information prior to starting the process.

ONLINE ENROLLMENT TYPICALLY TAKES APPROXIMATELY 20-30 MINUTES TO COMPLETE. 

Admissions

Students entering the Durant Independent School District (regardless of grade level) must be accompanied by a parent or legal custodian & meet the following admission requirements at the beginning of the current school year:

  • Be at least four years old on or before September 1st of the current school year (not calendar year)
  • Submit a legal birth certificate or have one on file
  • Be up-to-date on current vaccinations in accordance to the Oklahoma School Immunization Law

The Oklahoma School Immunization Law requires the following vaccination schedule:

  • 2 doses of MMR (Measles, Mumps & Rubella) - only 1 required for Pre-Kindergarten enrollment
  • 5 doses of DTP (DTAP) - only 4 required for Pre-Kindergarten enrollment
  • 4 doses of Polio - only 3 required for Pre-Kindergarten enrollment
  • 3 doses of Hepatitis B (PK-12)
  • 2 doses of Hepatitis A (PK-12)
  • 1 dose of Varicella (Chicken Pox) (PK-12)
  • 1 dose TDAP (7-12) 

Transfer Applications

Students that do not live in the Durant ISD school district are considered Transfers and must complete an online application. Transfers may be completed online at OSDE Student Transfer Information and Application. Visit our Transfer Student Information Page for detailed instructions. Transfer applications may be completed at any time for the current school year, or June 1 for the upcoming school year.

2023-2024 ANNUAL UPDATE FOR CURRENT FAMILIES OPENS MARCH 1

22-23 Pre-enrollment Annual Update Link: Students who are currently attending DISD and/or New (PK or other) students with siblings currently attending Durant Schools. 

If you have a student Currently Attending DISD, the link within your Infinite Campus Parent Portal account will open March 1. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE ACCESS TO THE INFINITE CAMPUS PARENT PORTAL, PLEASE CONTACT YOUR CHILD’S SCHOOL. To access the link on March 1st, use the left sidebar and select More-Online Registration to complete the annual update for your child(ren). You may also add any younger students that will be attending DISD next year, during this process.
