Parent Organizations

Parent Student Organizations and Booster Clubs play an important support role in Durant Independent School District's service to students. Organizations are run independently of the school district and are comprised of parent volunteers, who manage their own financial accounts.

The purpose of the PSO is to build community and create fellowship among families, provide support for school through special projects, plan and assist the staff in special social activities, assist with fundraisers, and honor and support staff and teachers with appreciation events.

Some of the events through out the year include:

• Elementary School Fall Festivals
• Santa Stores
• Teacher Appreciation Events
• Meals for Student Events
• Library Projects
• Teacher Classroom Funding
• Playground Projects
