Schools

DISD currently has 7 campuses, including our newest campus George Washington Elementary, which opened Fall of 2022. Attendance at our sites is dependent upon where families live in the district. Find your child's attendance zone by visiting our school locator tool

Pre-Kindergarten: REL Early Childhood Center is a newly renovated site for 4 years olds only. This smaller campus allows for a more personal experience with spaces specifically designed for pre-school students. Since PK is not a requirement in Oklahoma, there is a limit on the number of students accepted annually. Students that live in the school district are first priority, but transfers may be accepted, dependent on space. It is our recommendation that you enroll your PK student as soon as the window opens to have the best opportunity for admission. Students must be at least 4 years of age by September 1st to attend.

Kindergarten - 4th Grades: George Washington, Northwest Heights & Washington Irving are our three community elementary sites. Kindergarten students must be at least 5 years of age by September 1st to attend. Your child's attendance zone is based upon your home address.

5th and 6th grades: All DISD students in 5th-6th grades attend Durant Intermediate School.

7th and 8th grades: All DISD students in 7th-8th grades attend Durant Middle School

9th -12th grades: All DISD students in 9th-12th grades attend Durant High School. DISD Vision Academy is an alternative high school campus for students with special circumstances. Enrollment for both sites is managed through the Registrar's office at the Durant High School campus.
