DropOff/PickUp

DropOff/PickUp

Doors open at 7:20 for breakfast and morning drop off. The school day begins at 7:55 so doors lock at that time and any late students should be checked in at the front office. Classes dismiss at 3:15 and traffic is very heavy until about 3:30 p.m.

Drop Off

5th Graders should be dropped off on the 5th grade side ( parking lot off Washington closest to Chuckwa Street. Students will go to the small gym and sit in their assigned area unless they need to eat breakfast. There will be designated spots assigned for your child’s class with signs to show where they will be each day with their teacher.

6th Graders may be dropped off on either the 5th grade side or at the side entrances from Waco Street in the morning and go to breakfast or the big gym until class begins.

**No one should be dropping off or picking up from Grand Street. This is for buses ONLY.

Pick Up

If you have children in multiple grades at DIS, please have any 6th graders go to the 5th grade area for pickup and stand with the sibling’s class.

5th Graders should be picked up on the 5th grade side (parking lot off Washington closest to Chuckwa Street. Students not picked up by 3:30 will be taken to the front entrance by a staff member.

6th Graders should be picked up at the Waco Street front entrance.

**Please do not pick up students from the Tag Office on Washington or from The Spot parking lot on Chuckwa & Washington

7:55 am	Arrival Time
3:15 pm	dismissal begins

5th & 6th grade schedules can be found on the infinite campus parent portal. If you don't have an infinite campus portal please contact our office and we can help you. Infinite Campus gives you real-time access to grades, assignments, attendance and more.
